Prof. Dr. Cevat Alkan

Dr. Alkan received his University degree from the two-years Technical Teacher College of Ankara University.

He completed his master and Ph. D education in the United States . He received his master degree from “ Staut State University ” and completed doctoral programme in “The Ohio State University”. He become Associate Professor by giving his Associate Professor Thesis written on ‘Educational Technology' field. He was the pioneers of Educational Technology and the first academician on this subject and always supported development of Open /Distance Education in Turkey .

Dr. Alkan has more than 200 studies in the form of research, book, article, translation, or presented paper, which are conducted on some aspects of Education, Educational Technology and Distance Education fields etc.

He was the member of international organizations such as World Association for Educational Research (WAER), The World Council of Curriculum and Instruction (WCCI) and national associations as; Association of Technical Teachers (ATT), Association of Vocational and Technical Education development (AVTED) and delegate of the UNECO's Education Committee for three them. He retired a in the year of 2001 from Ankara University .
